Gnome hat
I refreshed my knitting skills with some youtube clips. I made this over the these past few evenings while watching Ken Burns on PBS - how domestic! It's too big for Sylvie, but it might make a nice gift.

Fine Points
Sylvie & I had a great time with my pal Eileen on Sat. We went to the fabulous Fine Points yarn shop on Larchmere. Walking into the space is an immersion into color and texture - so lovely.

Dynamite Night out
This is old news by now, but i went to see Charles Walker and the Dynamites on Tuesday at the Beachland. While Tom and Sylvie were safe at home I got my groove on. It felt good to get out and dance.

Thank you CoolCleveland!
While my laptop was being repaired tonight at the Apple Store I spotted Thomas Mulready from CoolCleveland. I was so glad to be able to introduce myself and thank Thomas personally for his listserve. If it were not for CoolCleveland, I may never have heard about the Creative Workforce Fellowship. I read about one of the workshops being held near my home, so I decided on a whim to attend and find out more. The rest is history! I am forever grateful to Mr Mulready and the fantastic outreach that his emails provide to the community of Cleveland. Thanks again and again. Here is Thomas and his son, Max.

Michele Muldrow show
Last night, I stopped by Heights Arts for fellow fellow Michelle Muldrow's fantastic show. I brought Sylvie along - Tom was out of town. I was glad to see her amazing work and chat with the always gracious Peggy Spaeth. I saw a couple of CIA folks- why does that tweak me out? It was good to get out to an opening - i need to step out more often.

Hello baby, goodbye chemicals
"Filmmaker Min Sook Lee documents her quest to avoid environmental toxins and still lead a normal life... Motherhood changes everything, Ms. Lee says. Alarmed by a rash of toy recalls shortly after her daughter's birth, she began to conceive My Toxic Baby , a lyrical account of her journey down the rabbit hole of the chemically saturated world we inhabit, even in utero," Toronto Globe & Mail.

Seth Rosenberg 1952-2009
Yesterday, I attended the memorial service for another CPAC fellow Seth Rosenberg. It was lovely - so much humor, wit and warmth. I was simply an acquaintance, but i feel like I got to know Seth after listening to the incredible outpouring from his friends and family. Here is one of his paintings:
